Israeli-American TJ Leaf (208-F-97) had an amazing evening in the last round for Guangzhou Loong Lions and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 24-year old forward had the game-high 43 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Guangzhou LL in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Shanxi L. (#8, 17-10) 111-105. Guangzhou LL maintains the 7th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Guangzhou LL will need more victories to improve their 18-10 record. In the team’s last game Leaf had a remarkable 69.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guangzhou LL, being already a very valuable addition to the team. TJ Leaf averages this season 26.7ppg and 9.9rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 30-year old American point guard Trae Golden (189-PG-91, agency: Network Sports International) of Fujian S.. Golden impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 50 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Fujian S. cruised to a 109-101 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Jiangsu D. (#18, 4-23). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Fujian S. keeps 17th position. 20 lost games are too many comparing to just seven victories Fujian S. managed to get this year. Golden is well-known by Fujian S. fans and he already established his position as one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 41.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 10.9apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Arnett Moultrie (208-C-90) of Xinjiang FT (#13). Moultrie scored 23 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Xinjiang FT, leading his team to a 120-84 easy win against the lower-ranked Nanjing TX MK (#20, 1-27). The chances of Xinjiang FT ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Moultrie could help Xinjiang FT to bring them higher in the standings. Moultrie has a great season in China. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 27.7ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 14.7rpg (#1 in league). He also has 2.6spg, 1.4bpg and FGP: 69.1%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
