Beijing rallied past Shenzhen to advance into the quarterfinal stage. Aviators were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: NM State) stepped up and scored 26 points and 7 assists for the winners and the former international center Ziming Fan (211-98) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Ducks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Askia Booker (186-93, college: Colorado) responded with 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international QuAn Gu (200-92) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Long-Lions were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard ShiYan Gao (186-96) stepped up and scored 24 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: UT Martin) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Heroes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Albanian guard Dallas Moore (185-94, college: N.Florida) responded with 55 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and center Zhun Zheng (214-92) scored 10 points. Guangsha Lions topped Jilin to reach the next round of playoffs. Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers’ 36 and made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Kay Felder (175-95, college: Oakland) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Guangsha Lions’ coach ChunJiang Li used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eagles looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Blue Whales helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Chuanxing Liu (222-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85, agency: BIG) answered with 8 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international point guard Shuo Han (196-86) added 15 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Blue Whales. Five Eagles and four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
