Guangdong held off Beijing to advance into the semifinal stage. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 34 personal fouls committed by Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international Peng Zhou (206-89) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international center Ziming Fan (211-98) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Shuo Fang (190-90) added 18 points and 8 assists in the effort for Ducks. Four Guandong Tigers and five Ducks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Shandong outscored Xinjiang to reach the semifinal stage. Heroes made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Flying Tigers were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: UT Martin) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international center HanLin Tao (208-91) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Qi Zhou (217-96) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five Heroes and four Flying Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.

Liaoning toppled Guangsha Lions in the quarterfinal battle. Flying Leopards made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Guangsha Lions were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Jiwei Zhao (185-95) chipped in 21 points. At the losing side the former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American point guard Kay Felder (175-95, college: Oakland) scored 27 points. Five Flying Leopards and four Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Zhejiang rallied past Qingdao to pave their way into the semis. Golden Bulls forced 20 Eagles turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The former international point guard Qian Wu (188-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 assists for the winners and forward Xuhang Zhu (206-93) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and center Chuanxing Liu (222-97) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
