Lianoning snatched a narrow road win over Guangdong to secure the Finals berth. Flying Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Guandong Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international Zhenlin Zhang (206-1999, college: Tulane) who saved his team from a defeat with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. The former international Ailun Guo (189-1993) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international Rui Zhao (195-1996) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and American swingman Sonny Weems (198-1986, college: Arkansas) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Guandong Tigers. Four Flying Leopards and five Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Guangsha Lions upset the Sharks in Shanghai to pave their way into the championship series. Guangsha Lions made 28-of-37 charity shots (75.7 percent) during the game. Sharks were plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 45 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Jamaal Franklin (196-1991, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
