Shaanxi fired past Guangzhou to secure the quarterfinal stage berth. Loongs made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Loongs outrebounded Long-Lions 53-40 including 39 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Long-Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Jonathon Simmons (198-1989, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Ning Zhang (192-1997) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Israeli-American forward TJ Leaf (208-1997, college: UCLA) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Taiwanese point guard Ying-Chun Chen (182-1993, college: Liberty) added 21 points in the effort for Long-Lions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Long-Lions’ coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
