There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in CBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 107-95 loss to thirteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (4-7) in Ningbo on Tuesday evening. Jilin Tigers outrebounded Bayi Rockets 47-30 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Ang Lee (208-90) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard JinMing Cui (193-92) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman CJ Trotter (192-88, college: S.Indiana) produced 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Bayi Rockets’ coach Zhizhi Wang rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Jilin Tigers moved-up to twelfth place. Newly promoted Bayi Rockets still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Jilin Tigers are looking forward to face higher ranked Long-Lions (#7) in Guangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play at home against Heroes (#11) and hope to get finally their first victory.
The game in Taiyuan was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Guangsha Lions (9-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Loongs (7-4). Guangsha Lions defeated Loongs 113-103. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 16-of-17 shooting from the field). Minghui Sun contributed with 26 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American point guard Kay Felder (175-95, college: Oakland) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 15 assists for Loongs. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guangsha Lions have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loongs at the other side keep the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Beijing D. and Beijing RF. Guangsha Lions will play against Flying Tigers (#15) in Urumqi in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Loongs will play on the road against Monkey Kings (#18) in Jiangsu and hope to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Nanjing between Jiangsu Dragons and Eagles. Sixteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (3-8) got a very close home victory over 13th ranked Eagles (3-8). Jiangsu Dragons managed to escape with a 3-point win 82-79 in the fight for the thirteenth place. Quanxi Wu stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Qing-Ming Wang responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Eagles. Jiangsu Dragons will meet league’s second-placed Guandong Tigers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eagles will play against Ducks (#9) and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 13 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Sichuan BW were defeated by Shanghai S. in a road game 115-97. Fujian S. was smashed by Shenzhen A. at home 78-103. Nanjing TX MK was destroyed by Beijing RF on the opponent’s court 101-80. Tianjin lost to defending champion Guangdong ST in a home game 98-110. Guangzhou LL managed to beat Xinjiang FT on the road 117-102.
The best stats of 13th round was 25 points and 8 rebounds by Zhun Zheng of Guangzhou LL.

Shanghai S. – Sichuan BW 115-97

There was no surprise in Shanghai where 19th ranked Blue Whales (1-10) were defeated by fifth ranked Sharks (9-2) 115-97 on Tuesday. Sharks made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. Sharks outrebounded Blue Whales 57-36 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners and the former international center Zhelin Wang (213-94) chipped in 21 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side guard Honghan Li (193-95) responded with 22 points and forward Songwei Zhu (206-96) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five Sharks and four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Blue Whales lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Nanjing TX MK. Sharks will meet at home Golden Bulls (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Blue Whales will play against Sturgeons (#13) and hope to win that game.
