The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Monkey Kings in Changchun on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Jilin Tigers 91-79. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Jilin Tigers outrebounded Monkey Kings 55-43 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Yuxing Jiang (193-95) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard JinMing Cui (193-92) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Tal Co (191-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists for Monkey Kings. Jilin Tigers is looking forward to face Royal Fighters in Beijing in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monkey Kings will have a break next round.
Very important is a home loss of Royal Fighters against Heroes on Saturday night. Host Royal Fighters were defeated by Heroes in Beijing 105-93. The former international center HanLin Tao (208-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and ShiYan Gao chipped in 22 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side Sanning Liao responded with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Heroes will play against Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round. Royal Fighters will play on the road against Jilin Tigers in Changchun to get more than just one victory in their record.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Sturgeons and Golden Bulls , which took place in Hangzhou. Sturgeons were outleveled in a road game by Golden Bulls 108-85 on Sunday. Harold Yu nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Yuchen Tian came up with 20 points for Sturgeons in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Golden Bulls will meet at home Ducks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sturgeons will play against Jiangsu Dragons and hope to win that game.

Other games in round 1 were not that significant. Winless Sichuan BW lost to undefeated Qingdao E. on the road 93-100. Guangdong ST destroyed Shenzhen A. on its own court 106-81. Beijing D. managed to outperform Jiangsu D. in a road game 87-71. Shanxi L. managed to beat Bayi Rockets at home 105-92. Liaoning FL defeated Guangzhou LL on the opponent’s court 107-89. Shanghai S. smashed Tianjin in a home game 120-94. Guangsha L. destroyed Xinjiang FT on the road 108-69.
