The Utsunomiya Brex had the best record in the regular season at 49-11 and they followed through by meeting the expectations of reaching the Finals. The Brex won the B.LEAGUE crown in the inaugural season back in 2016-17, back when they were still Link Tochigi Brex. The squad includes stars like Makoto Hiejima, Kosuke Takeuchi, and Ryan Rossiter supported by promising prospect in Kai Toews. The Brex are also captained by Japan legend Yuta Tabuse.

The Chiba Jets were right behind Brex with the second best record in the regular season with a 43-14 record. This will be the Jets’  third straight Finals appearance  after losing the Alvark both times prior. They are led by superstar Yuki Togashi, the 2018-19 season MVP, who is averaging 13.8 points and 5.6 assists per game this year. The team also features Spain national team member Sebastian Saiz as their leading scorer.
